Okay so, I have an appealing hobby, and I doubt there are lots of individuals that have this hobby, although I do are aware of a couple, even some people that have written books on the topic. One thing I love to do is take famous quotes from “The Harper Book of Quotations” and after that I like to try to argue against such common sense and wisdom, that is often found within these quotes from notable people of past periods. One quote I’ve always liked is;
“Those That Forget to Study Their History Are Doomed to Repeat It.”
Now then, I have decided and concluded that we must change that quote to read; “people who forget to study their history CORRECTLY, are doomed to repeat it.” The reasons you ask? Because it seems to me, which is another piece of common wisdom; this is the victors who write a brief history.
Quite simply whether or not they were right or wrong this is the victorious who rewrite History within their favor. Which is very easy to study your history incorrectly without having the knowledge you need because perhaps all the information from the true and correct history is not with us or has become burned by those who were victorious.
Okay, now let’s take all this to a higher level. It seems these days in class the kids don’t really desire to study history, and they also often tell the historical past teacher; “why must I study all the dates, names, and events throughout history, when I can look them up on Google anytime I wish to?” Yes, unfortunately the student who doesn’t feel as if studying because they are lazy is really correct, but yet recall the quote; “people who forget to study their history are doomed to repeat it.”
Is that this why a great number of the up-and-coming generation are willing to vote for someone with some ridiculous line of political rhetoric perhaps because they haven’t lived through enough history, as well as bothered to study their very own ancestral history to understand the podium pusher’s political rhetoric is simply that, thus they don’t realize it once they look at it? I would submit to you that this is a real problem. Nevertheless, because humans are repeating the folly of their previous history at this kind of fast and rapid rate, maybe they don’t need to study their history anymore?
Yes, I realize that you disagree using that statement, but permit me to explain it yet another way. When we teach kids current events, then by the time they grow up all of it is going to be there history, and we can prevent them from repeating that history by explaining what is happening inside the present period, while they’re will be in school. We my relate it for the correct background of past periods, without perhaps going into all of the detail. Again since they may look it up on Google or Wikipedia anytime they want.
In reality, even when you’ve never studied your history, or never even really liked the niche, it’s repeating so quick, and humans are generating the identical mistakes again and again at this type of rapid rate, which it hardly matters. You rpylxx have to remember a couple of years hence, to comprehend when something goes wrong.
At that time you should act on this information, that can bring up an entire other set of issues in age of global social media, smart mobs, and instant information. However I won’t get into this now because I’m going to ask that you stop and consider many of these points of contention, and discover should you accept what I’ve presented. Please think into it.
