Morning, Kids (1:15pm)… Still getting used to the fact that it’s Monday already. Laz has been on walkabout up in wine country all weekend getting blitzed on Pinot and playing golf, and is on his way to Vegas as I write this, at work. Bastard. While going through my camera phone over the weekend and clearing out some old pics, I noticed an interesting trend. Apparently, I like to take drunken pictures of the bathrooms at bars. No idea why, but some interesting pictures, nonetheless. So with no further ado, I give you Lou’s UrinalCam 2005™.
Another place in LA with the Co-Ed bathrooms. On the outside of these doors, they display the “Señoritas” prominently on the top with the “y Señors” small at the bottom. The first time I went here, I kept walking past the doors getting more and more frustrated that I couldn’t find the damn Men’s room. I know, I’m a drunk idiot, but I’m just sayin’.
So far, in my dozens of trips to the Cantina and my hundreds of trips to these bathrooms this inspirational graffiti has yet to come true. But, then again, if I’m looking to the bathroom wall for inspiration, there may be more factors at work here.
This is a crazy karaoke bar down in West LA. Now, even in my drunk, retarded, maybe I shouldn’t have had those last 4 gins attitude, I’ve never sang anything there. But I do love to go there and make an ass of myself anyhow. Usually singing over whoever’s on stage or something as equally obnoxious. As far as the picture goes. I got nothing. Maybe young girl legs. I don’t know. I do like young girl’s legs. And skirts. And, hey, check out that glow, huh? Nice.
This is a pretty cool hangout down in the Venice hood. I’ve only been there once, and I believe that this was another night that I “time traveled.” You know, one minute you’re at the bar, then next thing you know you’re home, or it’s suddenly August. “Life is like Lou and a bottle of Tanqueray.. You never know what you’re gonna get” As far as the mystery picture goes. How can you not love the modernist humor with the bunnies dialing into the computer to get their digital carrot. I mean, it’s a little too New Yorker than I usually go for, but hey, it was on a bathroom wall and don’t even remember being there. That’s gotta count for something.
And lastly, The House That Fez & Kelso Built. I don’t really have anything good to say about this that hasn’t already been written about on our infamous Reality Night Jamboree a couple weeks ago. But you gotta love the big white things on the wall. Very Milk Bar. And you can put your drink up there while you take care of your biz. Form and Function. Can’t beat that. Even if it is at Kutch’s place.
As Always… Mahalo.
